Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, SQL, and modern software engineering practices
• Lead the development and enhancement of digital claims processing solutions, application modernization initiatives, and AI-enabled automation capabilities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services and modern architecture patterns
• Apply AI, Generative AI, and LLM-based technologies to improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, and enhance user experience
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and solution planning activities to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, data integrations, and backend services supporting claims and healthcare business processes
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, quality, and performance standards throughout the software development lifecycle
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices, coding standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support production deployments, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing application support activities
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise application development
• Solid hands-on experience with Python and Spring Boot application development
• Solid programming experience with Python for application development, automation, or AI-enabled solutions
• Advanced SQL and relational database experience, including data modeling, performance tuning, and complex query development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building or integrating AI, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, Agentic AI, or intelligent automation solutions
• Experience with React or modern web application frameworks
• Healthcare or health insurance industry experience, particularly within Claims processing, EOB, Member servicing, or Facets-related systems
• Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native application development
• Experience with source control systems such as Git 
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, AI evaluation frameworks, and AI-assisted software development practices
• Familiarity with application modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technology teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proven solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
