The Senior Data Analyst serves as a senior individual contributor and subject matter expert responsible for leading the design, definition, validation, and governance of reporting and analytics solutions that support strategic, operational, and business decision-making.

This role partners with business leaders, reporting developers, technology teams, and operational stakeholders to translate complex business needs into actionable analytics, meaningful performance measures, and scalable reporting solutions. The Senior Data Analyst provides leadership in reporting methodology, metric governance, data quality, business analysis, and solution validation while driving continuous improvement across enterprise reporting capabilities.

The position is recognized as a trusted advisor and key resource for complex analytical initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to improve business intelligence, operational performance, reporting consistency, and decision support. The Senior Data Analyst may lead large cross-functional initiatives, mentor analysts, and influence reporting standards and best practices across the organization.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery, analysis, documentation, and validation of complex business and reporting requirements
  • Translate business needs into metric definitions, business rules, reporting requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Partner with business leaders, reporting developers, data engineers, and technology teams to design and deliver reporting and analytics solutions that support business objectives
  • Conduct advanced data analysis, testing, and validation activities to ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and solution quality
  • Identify trends, risks, reporting gaps, and opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced business performance through data-driven insights
  • Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in analytics, reporting methodology, performance measurement, and data governance
  • Solve complex business and operational problems through conceptual analysis, data interpretation, and innovative analytical approaches
  • Review analytical deliverables and provide guidance and recommendations to improve quality, consistency, and effectiveness
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively develop reporting strategies and analytical solutions that support evolving business priorities
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives and provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing to analysts and business partners

Required Qualifications: 

  • Advanced experience translating complex business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions
  • Experience working with enterprise reporting, business intelligence, analytics, and data environments
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems through data analysis and analytical reasoning
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across business and technical teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert and providing guidance or mentorship to others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise reporting platforms, business intelligence tools, and data visualization solutions
  • Experience designing performance measurement frameworks and operational dashboards
  • Healthcare industry experience with complex operational, network, provider, regulatory, or enterprise business processes

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
