As an Actuarial Consultant within UHG's Medicare & Retirement (M&R) line of business, you will face a number of diverse challenges in the actuarial space including data analysis, modeling in Excel and SAS, and other analytics in support of the Part D products.  You will work on complex actuarial projects that have strategic importance to our mission of helping people lead healthier lives and helping to make the health system work better for everyone.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance models that support Part D pricing and forecasting
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop assumption processes for Part D pricing
• Support Part D pricing analyses that inform business decisions for current and future product design and financial performance
• Conduct ad hoc studies to develop and support pricing strategies
• Contribute to the Part D bid submission process

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
• 4+ years of actuarial work experience 
• Progress toward actuarial designation (ASA track), having passed 4+ exams
• Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL, Python, R, or SAS
• Proven ability to balance multiple workstreams and demonstrate successful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Beginner to intermediate skills in Snowflake

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
