OptumCare Nevada is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst that is excited about being part of our growth and success.  The position will partner directly with various teams across the local organization including operations, billing, accounting, and finance to provide analytical and financial support to multiple clinical specialties.  We are looking for an inquisitive team member that cares about the details but can also think and act strategically.

This dynamic role is set in an opportune environment where performance is recognized and rewarded. The position is challenging, though supported with clear direction on what it takes to progress and succeed in this role, as well as providing a multitude of growth opportunities.

This position is highly collaborative and requires a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week (Las Vegas, NV), with the option to be remote for the remaining two days per week. Primary Responsibilities:

Provider Incentive Compensation Administrator:

  • Calculate monthly and quarterly bonuses for patient facing departments
  • Submit timely incentive compensation payments
  • Partner with department leaders to support the development and maintenance of incentive compensation plans
  • Professionally present incentive compensation plans and results with senior leaders

Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning:

  • Partner with department leaders to oversee budget processes and periodic forecasting
  • Perform variance analysis of forecast/budget numbers compared to prior periods and actual results
  • Develop cost/benefit analyses and staffing needs for key strategies and initiatives
  • Participate in developing effective company-wide business plans and strategies
  • Create and manage pro forma analyses for ad hoc requests

Financial Reporting:

  • Analyze and distribute financial reporting packages to business partners and senior leaders
  • Produce well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders
  • Support senior leaders in understanding financial reports and using those reports to drive performance improving initiatives and strategies

Income Statement Management: 

  • Drive innovation through identifying optimal financial performance in comparison to actual results
  • Regularly analyze Revenues, Medical Costs, and SG&A trends
  • Research and understand business operations to identify cost and revenue drivers
  • Oversee the improvement of SG&A management reporting on a detailed and segmented basis to ensure cost tracking and containment with senior leaders
  • Partner with operational senior leaders to assist in setting statistical metrics to enhance awareness of operational performance and decisions around FTE management

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, related field, or relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of progressive professional experience in finance and/or accounting
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel
  • Demonstrated executive presence with solid communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders (ability to translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences)
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule of three days per week in-office (Las Vegas, NV) with the option to be remote for the remaining two days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA license or MBA degree
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel's Power Pivot and Power Query)
  • Proven knowledge of data analytic tools (Business Intelligence [Power BI], MicroStrategy, Hyperion Essbase)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
