Southwest Medical Associates (SMA), an Optum company, is Nevada's largest multi-specialty practice, with over 350 physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Our facilities include 22 medical offices, with 6 urgent cares clinics, 7 Convenient Care Clinics, two lifestyle centers catering to seniors and two outpatient surgery centers. The practice is fully integrated and includes home health, complex disease management, pharmacy services, medical management and palliative care. SMA is actively engaged in population health management, with an emphasis on outcomes, and offers patients compassionate, innovative and high-quality care throughout Nevada. SMA is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Our hospitalist team is looking for a Nocturnist to join our team in Las Vegas. As a hospitalist/nocturnist, you will be responsible for managing adult inpatients including geriatrics. The schedule is 7 days on/7 days off. 

• Our hospitalists only treat Medicare Advantage patients under a managed care model
• 7 on/7 off schedule, 7 pm to 7 am
• Closed ICU, no ER coverage, no procedures required
• 4-5 average admissions
• Our hospitalists work as a team and are provided with an excellent support structure

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Active and unrestricted license in NV, or ability to obtain prior to employment
• DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment
• IM or FM residency trained, Board Certified

• Experience as a hospitalist

The salary range for this role is $260,000 to $387,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
