Overview: Senior Technical Analyst role to support UHC Clinical Prepay W&E affordability, ideation, and growth. This resource will be responsible for the documentation, quality, and maintenance of data science models and business impact with the intent of delivering incremental savings and revenue that meet internal and client growth targets. Offshore data restrictions for select clients limit ability to flex offshore resources across our client portfolio (IE - Community and State data, et. Al.) Loc: US
Analyst discipline is tracked through adherence to established model clarity and quality protocol. This resource is expected to collaborate with: business analysts, DBA's, Analytic Engineers, and Data Scientists across a broad range of subjects, data, and technologies.
Skills: Claim Data Analysis, Systems Analysis, Python scripting, SQL, translate business needs into actionable documentation for understanding and quality, and perform system operational quality assessments.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Write simple to complex SQL programs to extract data for client inquiry and research
- Perform complex data analysis to support research requests by the client
- Write simple to complex SQL programs to extract ad hoc data for monitoring and maintaining data mart operations
- Inquire with product owners and stakeholders to ensure quality receipt and integration of new analytic and model data daily across multiple product lines
- Utilize production metrics reports to perform research and assess quality of overall data
- Coordinate with development teams, operations teams, and management to enhance operational metric reporting
- Engage with Internal clients to triage and manage incoming operational inquiries and tasks
- Interface professionally with databases,
- ETL, and model and rule development teams
- Troubleshoot client and operational issues quickly and comprehensively
- Support, train and mentor fellow analysts and developers
- Improve operational processes
- Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
- Function well within a matrix organization (Eg - supporting multiple leaders)
- Proficient in research, interpreting, and analyzing diverse and complex data, and assessing Data Quality

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of data analyst experience
- 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries/scripts
- 2+ years of experience with Python for data analysis
- 2+ years of structured and unstructured database experience
- 2+ years of healthcare claims experience
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel & visualization tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an operational environment
- Experience with statistical analysis of data
- Experience with Rally
- Experience with CoPilot
- Knowledge of commercial fraud, waste, abuse and error
- Knowledge of healthcare claim adjudication systems

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
