Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy next-generation software applications that advance the Directed Spending business
  • Build robust, scalable, and high-performance systems using modern engineering practices
  • Integrate AI/ML techniques to create intelligent features, optimize workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making
  • Analyze complex technical issues and implement root-cause fixes using AI-assisted and traditional engineering methods
  • Research, prototype, and adopt emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage and accelerate innovation
  • Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into engineering solutions
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability as the platform grows
  • Contribute to reducing technical debt through modernization and continuous improvement
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
  • Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#, or similar)
  • 5+ years of experience developing scalable, cloud-based applications (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • 5+ years of experience with modern frameworks, microservices, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing complex problems, debugging efficiently, and delivering high-quality solutions
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating and working with cross-functional partners (product, business, architecture)
  • 3+ years of experience/knowledge of AI/ML concepts and ability to integrate AI-driven functionality into applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in payments, fintech, or consumer-directed benefits/Directed Spending systems
  • Practical experience using AI tools for code generation, optimization, or defect analysis
  • Experience evaluating and implementing emerging technologies in production environments
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and performance tuning

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
