Optum Health Solutions is a culture-focused and excellence-driven team dedicated to improving experience across a diverse set of stakeholders. The Optum Health Solutions product team is responsible for optimizing care management capabilities.

The candidate will work with strategic business partners across UnitedHealth Group; working heavily with Optum teams across operations, product/benefits, and technology, as well as, UnitedHealthcare clinical leadership. The candidate will need to understand the dynamics of the UHG enterprise and of the external marketplace (including customers, competitors, providers, partners, government sector, and consumers) to create multi-tiered care management solutions.

The Product Manager will elevate a baseline of capabilities to improve both individual product and holistic product care management workflow tools across assessing, educating, care planning, and clinical trending. The Product Manager will partner with cross functional leads to innovate care management models based on best practice analytics. Reporting to the Product Director - Care Management Portfolio Modernization this role will work in partnership with business owners of distinct products or programs that make up the medical Optum Health Solutions portfolio to deliver scalable solutions.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Liaison across analytics, tech, and operations partners to transform performance management
• Manage into technology partners to align strategies to optimize clinical data sources for care management products
• Identify performance management and clinical data use best practices across products and scale them across the portfolio
• Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements
• Works with matrix partners to translate needs into required technology capabilities
• Interprets vision and translates into requirements with technology teams
• Applies increasing expertise to solve problems: assists others with complex problems, takes a broad business approach, and is a resource to senior leadership
• Demonstrate and apply understanding of health care industry trends and their drivers
• Conduct current state analysis to gather current business, functional and non-functional requirements and constraints (i.e., "as-is" state)
• Document future state using appropriate tools/processes (e.g., "to-be" process maps)
• Communicate ongoing updates to all stakeholders to ensure understanding of and alignment with project status/changes
• Analyze and balance risk/reward considerations for identified solutions (e.g., options analysis)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
