Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety (EOHS) Generalist - Remote in Mid West

The EOHS Generalist provides centralized EOHS support to Domestic Operations by partnering with business unit leaders, operational stakeholders, and the enterprise EOHS team. This role acts as a conduit between the field and the enterprise, ensuring operational needs inform enterprise program development while helping business units effectively implement EOHS standards, policies, and tools.

This position focuses on program support, data analysis, training development, and consultative guidance. The EOHS Generalist plays a key role in strengthening EOHS capability across Domestic Operations and ensuring the consistent execution of the EOHS management system.

Primary Responsibilities: 
Operational EOHS Support

• Provide consultative EOHS support to business leaders and operational stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements, company standards, and program expectations
• Assess and interpret business needs and provide guidance on EOHS-related issues and operational challenges
• Support implementation and consistent application of EOHS programs, tools, procedures, and resources
• Serve as a resource for stakeholders seeking guidance on non-routine or moderately complex EOHS matters

Risk Management & Compliance

• Conduct virtual assessments through document review, data analysis, and process evaluation to identify risks and compliance concerns
• Review safety programs, procedures, and corrective action plans for alignment with regulatory and company requirements
• Assist business areas in identifying and implementing risk mitigation measures and corrective actions
• Monitor and communicate emerging compliance risks, trends, and requirements

Incident Management & Data Analytics

• Support incident review and root cause analysis activities
• Analyze safety, health, environmental, and operational data to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics that support risk-informed decision making
• Track corrective actions and support follow-up activities as needed

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Support development and maintenance of EOHS training materials, communications, job aids, and awareness resources
• Provide explanations and guidance regarding EOHS requirements, processes, and best practices
• Deliver virtual training sessions and support stakeholder education efforts
• Coach and guide less experienced employees and stakeholders on EOHS processes and expectations

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve EOHS processes, tools, resources, and workflows
• Support implementation of process improvement initiatives and standardization efforts
• Participate in enterprise and business-led EOHS projects and initiatives
• Share lessons learned, best practices, and operational insights to enhance program effectiveness

Required Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of EOHS, safety, occupational health, environmental compliance, or related experience
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, and other applicable regulations
• Experience supporting risk assessment, incident management, compliance activities, and data analysis
• Demonstrated communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Willing and able to travel up to 15%
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed operations
• Experience developing training content, guidance documents, or EOHS resources
• Experience working with safety management systems, incident management platforms, and reporting tools

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
