This is a product role with solid technical and data requirements. You will work closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, Technology and business stakeholders to turn complex data and business problems into scalable, measurable products.
You will own product discovery, prioritization, roadmap development and delivery while developing a solid understanding of the data that powers your products. The successful candidate will work across multiple teams to ensure alignment and serve as the voice of the business with the engineering team to ensure products deliver business value.
Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
What you will do:
- Own the product vision, roadmap and backlog for data-driven products and capabilities
- Work with business stakeholders to identify problems and translate them into clear product requirements
- Partner closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, Architecture and Technology teams throughout discovery and delivery
- Use SQL and data analysis to investigate problems, validate assumptions, understand data quality and support product decisions
- Help build data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data models, APIs, data lakes and modern cloud data platforms
- Work with platforms such as Databricks to understand how data is ingested, transformed, governed and consumed
- Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, data requirements and product success metrics
- Prioritize work based on customer/business value, technical feasibility, risk and organizational priorities
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to product adoption, data quality, reliability and business outcomes
- Ensure data privacy, security, governance and regulatory requirements are considered throughout the product lifecycle
- Lead Agile product practices including refinement, prioritization, planning and stakeholder communication
- Communicate complex technical and data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.
What you will bring:
If you do not meet every single requirement, don't let that hold you back - we're just as excited about potential as we are about qualifications and experience, and you could be exactly who we're looking for.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven solid experience working on large software programs, including Technical Product Management, Data Product Management, Analytics, or related disciplines
